The Project:
| This website is to introduce a small group called The Friends of Canadian Veterans and a massive project that they initiated. The internet is a wonderful avenue to reach great numbers of people collectively to explain our goal. PARTICIPATE Interested Canadians and photography clubs across our country and beyond are invited to participate in the creation of a new book.We ask you to send a photo of a cenotaph dedicated to Canadian War Veterans of WWI, WWII, The Korean War and our Canadian Peacekeepers. There are about 6,000 war memorials across our land and they all deserve to be honoured. However, the Canadian Cenotaph book will focus on the cenotaphs of significant artwork and distinctively creative design. BE PROUD TO BE A PART OF THE PROJECT This beautiful coffee table book will commemorate our glorious fallen by illustrating selected photographs of cenotaphs throughout Canada and beyond. Canadian icons such as Lloyd Robertson and war hero Cliff Chadderton admire the concept of this unique initiative. |

Portions of the proceeds of each book sale will be donated to The War Amps of Canada, especially the CHAMP program and be available for Legion fundraisers. The completed book is intended as an educational and interactive experience to be enjoyed by all, especially our veterans, our youth, interested citizens and new Canadians. We foresee the book available in bookstores, libraries, schools and war site kiosks in Europe and elsewhere. The Friends of Canadian Veterans offer this unique way to honour the heroic efforts of our veterans and unite our country pictorially from “sea to sea”. CONTRIBUTE |
